General Groves and the Manhattan Project

June 1, 2012 – January 13, 2013

We know that when man is willing to make the effort, he is capable of accomplishing virtually anything.

General Leslie R. Groves was a Army Corps of Engineer officer who oversaw the construction of the Pentagon and directed the Manhattan Project that developed the atomic bomb during WWII.  The exhibit General Groves and the Manhattan Project gives an overview of his life, leadership style, personality, and achievements.  The exhibit includes a 10 minute documentary film and reprints and reproductions of letters Groves sent and received while working on the Manhattan Project.

General Groves and the Manhattan Project was developed by the Atomic Heritage Foundation.
