PLANNING YOUR TRIP TO AMSE

When you call to make a reservation, please have the following information:
1. Date of trip
2. Name, address, phone number of school or organization
3. Size of the group with ages/grade(s)
4. Times of arrival and departure
5. Programs requested (see our program description list)
6. Any special needs of the group

TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL VISIT

A. Please try to have at least one adult chaperone for every 10 students in grades 7-12 and one adult for every 6 students grades K-6. Exploring the museum in smaller groups is a more valuable learning experience.
B. The trip leader should come to the information desk to register the group upon arrival and get the schedule for the day.
C. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are often good days to avoid the crowds. Fridays are traditionally very busy. A winter visit often avoids the spring rush.

Check our General Information page for museum hours and admission costs.

The Discovery Shop features unique science and energy books, games, kits, and Oak Ridge souvenirs.
