AMSE’s Community Gallery features selected works from the 70th Annual Salon of the Camera Club of Oak Ridge

From February through April, AMSE’s Community Gallery features selected photographs taken from the Camera Club of Oak Ridge’s (CCOR) recently displayed 70th Annual Photographic Salon. The exhibition is called “Salon 2018 Revisited.”

The display includes printed works as well as a wider selection of digital images. In the original Salon, each work was judged within an assigned category: Abstracts, Textures & Patterns; Altered; Architecture & Structures; Botanical; Decay & Deterioration; Inanimate; Landscape; People; and Wildlife.

The CCOR photographers invite viewers to follow their unique perspective, depicting scenes from the natural world, urban environments, and staged studio pieces. While some traveled the world to find their images, others stayed close, traveling in groups or going solo.  Noted in every piece is the unique look and perspective of the individual photographer.

Since 2014, AMSE has partnered with CCOR to showcase the wide variety of innovative images its members capture.  The museum is pleased to present this glimpse into the visually stunning, inspiring, and varied works of our local photographers.
