What is the AMSE Foundation?
The American Museum of Science & Energy Foundation was chartered in September 1996 and organized to further the cultural, educational and scientific programs of the American Museum of Science & Energy Museum (AMSE). The Foundation’s purpose is to assist in the operation and development of the museum, which seeks a broad public, private and volunteer support base. As a 501(c) (3) corporation, the foundation’s tax exempt status provides an added benefit when seeking financial and other donations. The foundation is governed by a 20 member Board of Directors.
The mission of the AMSE Foundation is to promote, enhance, perform and support the cultural, educational, scientific and other programs of the American Museum of Science and Energy – the United States’ official museum of science and energy under public law.
The vision of the AMSE Foundation is to promote the AMSE mission and operate and manage the museum and its programs to inspire interest in history, science, technology, mathematics and engineering.
