Volunteer at AMSE

Volunteering at AMSE is an ideal opportunity if you enjoy being with others who are interested in learning about the history of Oak Ridge and the Manhattan Project, as well as sharing current details of the community.  Everyone loves museums, and volunteering at AMSE is a great way to pass on your life experiences to others.

If you are interested in leading tours, the guided bus tour includes highlights of the history of Oak Ridge and the history of science and technology at the three U.S. Department of Energy/Oak Ridge facilities, and describes the important roles these facilities currently provide to our nation.

If you would prefer to volunteer in the museum, you can work as a greeter providing visitors with information about the museum and Oak Ridge.  You could also assist one of the educators with their programming.  If you have a special skill such as photography, please let us know so that we can find tasks suited to you!

If you’re interested in volunteering, please complete the Volunteer Information Form, then contact Glenda Bingham or call 865-294-4531 to schedule an interview!

If you are a minor, please also have a parent or guardian complete the Minor Consent Form.
